NYSNA Online ExclusiveEllis Hospital RNs picket to protect pensions and health plan
More than 200 RNs at Ellis Hospital picketed on a cold and damp afternoon on April 24 to protest management's demands for pension and health insurance givebacks. With signs reading: “Protect Our Pensions!” and chanting about the hospital’s reluctance to negotiate fairly, the RNs marched for nearly two hours. Members of the Capital District Area Labor Federation joined the nurses on the line. The next negotiating session is scheduled for April 27.
