Emergency conditions, caused by the recent early season snowstorm, have prompted the NYS Department of Health to activate the NurseResponse system for the Buffalo, New York area.

The database allows officials to reach registered nurses from throughout New York who may be able to assist with current staffing shortages. Nurses currently registered for NurseResponse will receive an official e-mail from the New York State Department of Health. If you haven't registered for NurseResponse, you must do so prior to volunteering. Use the link below to register now. Thank you for your cooperation and participation.

With more than 34,000 members, NYSNA is the oldest and largest state nurses' association in the nation. It is an influential union for RNs, representing nurses in New York and New Jersey. Offering a wide range of services to its members, NYSNA fosters high standards of nursing education and practice and works to advance the profession through legislative activity. It is a constituent of the American Nurses Association and of the United American Nurses, an affiliate of the AFL-CIO.
