It will show nurses how accurate documentation can assist during any litigation. You will experience what it is like to go to trial. Objectives
Track 4: Clinical Issues“Physical Assessment — The Sounds of the Body” - Angela Hoenig, RN, Critical Care Nurse RNs will have an opportunity to practice physical assessment techniques and learn new skills in this hands-on workshop. Listen carefully for the sounds of the body in this experiential learning activity. Class size will be limited. Objectives
Track 3: Community/Advocacy“Hydrofracking” - Ellen Weininger, Educational Outreach Coordinator, Grassroots Environmental Education Hydraulic fracturing (“hydrofracking”) is a drilling technique that allows producers to extract gas by drilling to find shale reserves thousands of feet underground. The targeted area is fractured through use of explosives and a mixture of chemicals, water, and sand known as ‘fracking fluid’. Nurses concerned with the environmental impact of hydrofracking will learn more about grassroots initiatives aimed at ensuring a safe community. Objectives
