We’re moving in a new direction. In recent months, NYSNA has taken steps to return power to the members and focus on the issues affecting the bedside nurse. This conference will continue to build on mobilizing members to secure safe staffing ratios by 2013 and arm you with the facts to help you build your case for a safer working environment with management — and other union members.
Track 1: Legislative/PAC
Learn more about the valuable role you and your co-workers can play in securing safe staffing legislation for 2013.
Track 2: Facility/Member Mobilization
Find out some of the best approaches your NYSNA colleagues and other unions have used in the workplace and community to win positive results for patients and nurses.
Track 3: Community/Advocacy
Discuss working with grassroots and community organizations that can help us achieve our legislative and policy goals.
Track 4: Clinical Issues
This track is clearly relevant to the bedside nurse. Advance your clinical skills and reinforce your experience in these hands-on workshops.
Track 5: Empowerment!
Become engaged through becoming empowered. Experience these workshops to learn more about how your documentation supports the nurse, the patient, and the practice.
