New York patients deserve public officials and a Mayor who will make sure everyone has access to care.
That’s why we've endorsed Bill de Blasio and other candidates in the upcoming Democratic primary, Tuesday, Sept. 10.
NYSNA’s Board of Directors have voted to endorse the following candidates because of their strong stand for patients:
Bill de Blasio has done more than any other New Yorker to save struggling hospitals. And he’s committed to defending and expanding our public hospital system.
NYSNA members can make a difference in this election: more than 25,000 NYSNA members live or work in NYC. All of us need to encourage our friends and co-workers to vote for Bill de Blasio and all of our endorsed candidates. Vote on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
“On behalf of our 37,000 members I am proud to announce NYSNA’s first-ever endorsement in a New York City mayoral race. We could not sit on the sidelines when the lives of so many New York patients are at stake. That’s why NYSNA is endorsing Bill de Blasio for mayor.”
“We know that Bill de Blasio will work tirelessly to protect our patients as mayor, just as he has worked tirelessly as public advocate to keep our hospitals open for care. We know he will fight to end the epidemic of hospital cuts and closures in New York City.”
– Anne Bové, RN, President, NYSNA HHC Executive Council
