On Tuesday, 1,500 of us went to Albany to fight for safe staffing.
We rallied. We met with more than 125 lawmakers. Back home, hundreds of members made calls, too. Check out the amazing photos from the largest action for safe staffing in New York history.
What we are doing is working. A majority of Assembly members have signed on to our bill. More and more Senators are joining us every day. We got in the news. And we have made safe staffing the #1 patient care issue for Albany lawmakers.
We need to keep the pressure on. While we were in Albany, our opponents sent a fax to EVERY lawmaker, spreading misinformation about the ratios. They are trying to chip away at our support.
The legislative session ends in just four weeks, on June 20. Our opponents are going to try to slow us down and wait us out. We need to be able to respond quickly to their myths. And you can help.
