Westchester Medical Center layoffs: NYSNA fights back
On Thursday, December 8, Westchester Medical Center management confirmed its plan for 250 layoffs, including 132 registered nurses.
NYSNA members at the medical center, in the middle of contentious negotiations for a new contract, have been fighting back, contacting government officials and and community leaders and engaging in an public information advertising campaign to point out the impact of such cuts on the quality of care.
