NYSNA joins support for nurses at Vermont Veterans Home

NYSNA members and staff joined members of the Massachusetts Nurses Association, Vermont Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals and Vermont State Employees Association at a July 25 community forum, addressing the care of veterans at the state veterans home in Bennington. The forum was organized by Vermont’s Put Patients First campaign.

The forum examined the issues of RN staffing concerns at the state-funded Vermont Veterans Home. The audience heard remarks from professional registered nurses, residents of the Vermont Veterans Home and their family members.
