“People who can't breathe, who have pulmonary edema: if they have to go another ten minutes to another hospital, they aren’t going to make it,” that’s what Mount Vernon hospital nurse Dionisia Sanchez, RN, says in a new video.
Nurses and community leaders are coming together to save the hospital.
“The two other neighboring hospitals won’t be able to take up the amount of patients who use this hospital,” says Tracy McCook, RN.
“I started here as a candystriper. I was even born here,” says Kathy De Rosa, RN. “We need this hospital to stay.”
