Tentative agreement reached at Vassar Bros.

POUGHKEEPSIE, Aug. 14, 2009 - NYSNA members at Vassar Brothers Medical Center reached a tentative agreement for a new contract with management early this morning. The nurses are scheduled to vote on the agreement on Thursday, Aug. 20. Details of the contract will be available after ratification. The most recent contract for the 800 RNs expired on April 30.

The New York State Nurses Association is the voice for nursing in the Empire State. With more than 37,000 members, it is the state's largest union and professional association for registered nurses. It supports nurses and nursing practice through education, research, legislative advocacy, and collective bargaining.
