KINGSTON, Dec. 14, 2011 – Registered nurses at Benedictine Hospital have reached a tentative agreement with management for a first contract.
While details are not being released pending ratification, the contract addresses nurses' concerns about safe staffing, their rights on the job and stable wages and health benefits. The nurses will vote on the proposed agreement on Thursday, Dec. 22, and results will be announced the next day. The nurses have been in negotiating this contract since December 2008.
