Nurses at Bellevue were being forced to take on 10 patients at once and endure unilateral changes from management with no voice in patient care. That’s why they voted to join NYSNA. At a time when big corporations are making record profits and workers in nearby Schenectady have a median income of only $24,700, it’s critical to protect middle-class union jobs.
