For our next lobby day, Tuesday, May 20, we’re joining with fellow healthcare unions from across the state, including PEF, CSEA, CWA and 1199SEIU, to lobby for safe staffing and against workplace violence.

We’ve added workplace violence to our lobby focus and we will be asking the legislature to recognize the link between safe staffing and violence against nurses. We are proposing legislation to require employers to address workplace violence issues, including correcting unsafe staffing levels that correlate with violent incidents and the threat of violence.

Participants are eligible for up to 7.0 Continuing Education contact hours. Click here for CE information and safe staffing background information to read before your lobby visits.
