New York patients and nurses deserve hospitals free of violence. We're standing up for safe hospitals at a community vigil this Tuesday, August 12 in Brooklyn.

On Tuesday, August 5, Clarke Elpenord, an RN at Woodhull’s Emergency Department, was assaulted by a patient. Management’s response: suspend Clarke without pay!

Fortunately, Clarke suffered only minor injuries. Other nurses have not been as fortunate. We must bring an immediate end to violence against nurses and other caregivers.

We are calling on Woodhull management to:

  • Bring Clarke back to work
  • Increase staffing for safety
  • Make every effort to make the workplace safer

Candlelight Vigil against Workplace Violence
DATE: Tuesday, August 12
TIME: 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
PLACE: 760 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY (In front of Woodhull)
