Franklin Hospital RNs are speaking up for Safe Staffing. And our Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages is standing with us.
Hospital executives are trying to eliminate staffing guidelines and safe patient handling policies from our contract. “Our patients get the best care when we have safe staffing levels,” said Franklin RN Yasmine Beausejour.
Hospital executives are already understafing busy units like the Emergency Room.
We held an informational picket to take our case to the public, and our Assemblywoman joined us. “As nurses we strive to provide each patient with the very best care,” said Beausejour. “That’s why we're out here.”
We made the news! Check out the story in the Long Island Herald.
