Governor Andrew Cuomo has officially declared a state of emergency for the Downstate Region in response to the potentially historic storm to hit our region.
As agencies prepare for the worst, NYSNA is working with State, County and Municipal leadership as well as working with health facilities’ command staff to ensure care to the community. We are also working with health facilities to advocate for appropriate accommodations for nursing personnel to ensure optimal staffing in this emergency.
