NYSNA nurses are currently in the Dominican Republic for their latest medical mission. On their first day, they began in Altos de Friusa, Punta Canta. The medical team consisted of 11 RNs, 1 occupational therapist, 5 local MDs, 2 local pharmacists, and serval community health workers and interpreters. The team had a successful first day as they examined 257 patients, of which 66% were pediatrics. Many of the patients have skin diseases, upper respiratory infections, and flu-like symptoms.

We thank our wonderful host, Fundación Mi Milagro Isanely, for doing a great job in preparing the community and providing most of the medicine.

NYSNA is committed to delivering compassionate care to those in need, whether local or abroad.
