Nurses helping nurses: Nurses House COVID-19 Fund
Nurses House, a national organization dedicated to helping RNs in need, offers assistance with housing and medical expenses to RNs who are seriously ill, injured, disabled or facing other dire circumstances. When possible, Nurses House attempts to assist applicants in identifying other potential resources.
Nurses House and the American Nurses Foundation are partnering with “Help for Nurses Nationwide Affected by COVID-19”. Through July 31, 2020, Nurses House will be accepting applications from Registered Nurses unable to work due to a COVID-19 infection, who are caring for a family member with COVID-19, or who are under mandatory quarantine. NYSNA has made an organizational donation to this great cause.
Please share this information with NYSNA members that if they become ill, or are at home caring for a family member that is ill, the Nurses House COVID-19 Fund can help. It will provide $1,500 grants to nurses affected through July 31, 2020. They can apply HERE.
In order to help as many nurses as possible, your support to this Fund is important as well. Please consider a donation today, and help us support our heroes who are out there right now on the front lines for us.
