WE MUST STAND IN SOLIDARITY WITH OUR NURSES AT UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT MEDICAL CENTER!

Nurses are on the brink of a strike at UVMMC in Burlington, as management is refusing to bargain a fair contract. It is the same management that employs NYSNA nurses at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, Alice Hyde Medical Center, and Elizabethtown Community Hospital. NYSNA stands in solidarity with the union nurses, members of the Vermont Federation of Nurses & Health Professionals, in their fight for justice!

UVMMC is planning on locking nurses out and bringing in replacement RNs to break a strike. This is the scab agency seeking to break unions: https://autumncs.com.

WE MUST ACT NOW IN SUPPORT OF NURSES AT UVMMC!

FIRST:

CALL UVMMC MANAGEMENT [see flyer for details: https://bit.ly/2N07HmH]

President Eileen Whalen 802 847-5384
CEO John Brumsted 802 847-1124

Tell them who you are and where you work.
Tell them to settle a fair contract at UVMMC.
Tell them to avoid a strike at UVMMC.
Tell them to stay away from Autumn Consulting, with its poor record of "care".

SECOND:

DO NOT TAKE AN ASSIGNMENT TO WORK THERE!
Autumn Consulting poses dangers to care and are bad actors in their intervention against nurses engaging in their constitutional right to strike on behalf of quality patient care.

THIRD:

Also, teachers and nurses throughout the country are calling on everyone to WEAR RED IN SOLIDARITY with the UVMMC nurses on 7/12, just as was done for the Arizona teachers.

We must stand together in solidarity! Their fight is our fight. Read more here.
