Mayor, community leaders, nurses to talk health, wellness, and keeping Mount Vernon Hospital open for care
Mount Vernon, NY— The Save and Transform Mount Vernon coalition is partnering with the City of Mount Vernon, Greater Centennial AME Zion Church, and the New York State Nurses Association to host a health and resource fair this Saturday in downtown Mount Vernon. Nurses will provide free blood pressure screenings, as well as information about COVID-19, nutrition and wellness. Back to school giveaways will also be available while supplies last. Elected officials and community leaders will speak out about the campaign to save Mount Vernon Hospital and transform their community hospital into a resource that meets the community’s healthcare needs.
