The New York Health Act (A4738/S4371) – the bill to guarantee healthcare for ALL New Yorkers – passed the NYS Assembly in 2015 and 2016 with huge support. If passed, New York would lead the country in having the largest statewide universal Medicare for all system. On Tuesday, April 4, NYSNA joins together with healthcare activists from across New York in Albany to lobby and rally in support of the New York Health Act… download this Informational Flier for details, and register online at nyhcampaign.com. Buses are being organized from throughout the state! We’ll also be carving out some time that day for all NYSNA members present to discuss the ways our Single Payer Activist RNs can contribute to building this movement in New York. We need all hands on deck to win over enough Senate sponsors to get the bill to the Governor’s desk. If you can join us, e-mail David Gray (david.gray@nysna.org) with your name and facility, and where you’d like to grab the bus.
