NYSNA Shows Up for Workers on Strike (UAW + SAG-AFTRA)
From Manhattan to Tappan, New York, NYSNA nurses showed up for workers on strike this week! On Wednesday, Sept. 27, nurses rallied in midtown Manhattan alongside SAG-AFTRA and United Autoworkers (UAW) members at a solidarity picket. That afternoon, NYSNA nurses picketed in Tappan alongside striking UAW Local 3039 workers at a Chrysler distribution plant, the first plant in New York to join the nationwide strike.
NYSNA nurses have demonstrated that solidarity is a verb, and they have been proud to walk the picket line with workers who are fighting for the same thing nurses fight for every day — fair wages, worker protections and an end to corporate greed!
