After more than a year of salary negotiations between the Denver teachers union and the school district, schoolteachers are officially on strike! NYSNA stands in solidarity with these teachers as they strike for their students, for their profession, and for the dignity and respect they deserve.

35,000 healthcare professionals across Ireland say enough is enough! Beginning at 8am on Wednesday, January 30, and scheduled to last 24 hours, nurses and midwives from the Irish Nurses and Midwife Organisiation are picketing for better pay, improved staff retention and Safe Staffing.

Federal employees are finally back to work on Monday after the longest shutdown in government history. While the effects of the shutdown will continue to be felt, NYSNA is relieved that the federal workers can finally go back to work. Our collective action demanded it to end and we won.
