Hundreds of Capital Region NYSNA nurses rallied Wednesday in our communities for fair contracts that protect patient care at our first-ever, multi-facility picket at Ellis Medicine and Bellevue Woman’s Center in Schenectady, and Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville.
Our mission is to care for all. That's sums up NYSNA's new direction. And it's the subject of one of the motions we passed unanimously at our union's annual membership meeting, the Voting Body.
Capital Region NYSNA RNs from Nathan Littauer Hospital, Ellis Medicine, and Bellevue Woman's Center will rally simultaneously for a fair contract for patient care at a multi-facility informational picket planned for Wed., Oct. 8 from 2 pm to 6:30 pm.
After months of frustrating contract negotiation sessions for the RNs and Professional Healthcare Staff of Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, we took our concerns for patient care to the picket line on Thursday, Sept. 25.
More than 140 NYSNA nurses and supporters marched with homemade signs in front of Gloversville's Nathan Littauer Hospital this week. Our message: management needs to work with us to make sure our hospital is the best place to work and receive care.
