After more than a decade of advocacy by NYSNA nurses and healthcare professionals, landmark staffing legislation for our hospitals and nursing homes has finally landed on the Governor’s desk ready to be signed!

It is with great sadness that I post this. Our longtime NYSNA colleague, activist, and nurse Joan Rowley passed away earlier today due to COVID-19. Joanie had been battling COVID-19 in the hospital for many, many weeks.
