On Wednesday, April 15, NYSNA members will join Fight for $15 at their New York City rally to fight for fair pay for fast food and other low-wage workers. The event is part of a series of massive rallies around the globe.

Nathan Littauer Hospital RNs helped spread holiday cheer - and our community message of a fair contract that protects patient care - with a float in the Johnstown Annual Classic Image Holiday Parade last Friday evening.

Beloved NYSNA nurse Adrienne Marie Wentworth passed away on September 26, 2014 at the age of 29. Adrienne was an active nurse leader at AO Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta, and was much loved by her patients and colleagues alike.

Congratulations are in order for the hardworking caregivers of 1199SEIU, who just settled a contract with the League of Voluntary Hospitals with no benefit takeaways, a significant wage increase, and a fairer process for nonunion workers to organize in outpatient hospital clinics.

Caregivers at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, members of 1199SEIU, reached a contract settlement after a long struggle to win a living wage for the lowest paid workers. In May, NYSNA nurses traveled to Baltimore to rally in support of striking Hopkins caregivers.
